The starting day of the wonderful Langtang Valley trek. Today you will be driving to Syabrubesi via Trishuli Bazar and Dhunche. The drive is through the green hills and local villages via the Trishuli river bank. Whereas, occasional mountain views are expected on the clear days. You will be spending your night at a local hotel in Syabrubesi.

The trek officially starts from today. The route from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel is a gradual climb through the terraced farm fields and the villages. Trekking through the rhododendron and oaks forest is an exciting walk. At the Lama Hotel, you will be spending your night at a local teahouse.

Take a good breakfast in the hotel before the trek resumes. The route to Langtang village from Lama Hotel is an easy walk. Passing Ghoretabela, then to the pine and rhododendron forest, you will be slowly getting towards the higher elevation. Upon arriving at Langtang village, you can explore around the beautiful village. You will be spending your night at a local lodge.

The route to Kyanjin Gompa from Langtang village is a gradual uphill. The route has a wonderfully crafted “Mani Prayer Wall” and remember to walk clockwise to respect the Buddhist religion. Furthermore, getting closer to Kyanjin Gompa, the greater views of the mountains open up.

Kyanjin Gompa is a mountain viewpoint with an amazing view of Langtang Lirung and other mountains. You can also explore the Buddhist monastery here.  You will be spending your night at a lodge.

The day is dedicated to exploring around and a side hiking trip to Tserko Ri. Tserko Ri – the mountain viewpoint offers greater views of mountains including Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal (7,405 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m),  Ghengu Liru (Langtang II  6,571m), Kimshun (6,745 m) and Shalbachum(6,918m), Chimsedang, Naya-Kanga or Ganja Chuli (5,846m), Gangchempo, Tilman's beautiful Fluted Peak, Jugal Himal and ending to eastern horizon at Dorje Lakpa (6,980m). After collecting the good views of the mountains, you will be retracing back to Kyanjin Gompa for the night.

The route from today diverts from the main Langtang Valley trek route. Upon crossing a bridge, the route enters a bamboo forest. Leaving the river behind, you will then start climbing uphill to reach Thulo Syabru. Located above the ridge, it is a wonderful village with a Buddhist monastery. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse.

Climbing above the monastery, you will be rewarded with greater views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Langtang, and Annapurna in the far west. After collecting the sensational views, your walk continues to the uphill to reach Sing Gompa. Sing Gompa is also known as Chandanbari. At Sing Gompa, you can explore the monastery and taste the Yak cheese too. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse.

One of the tough walking days as you will be walking at a higher elevation. The walk to Gosaikunda Lake offers wonderful views of snowcapped mountains including the Ganesh Himal range, Manaslu, and Annapurna range. Upon reaching the Lauribina top, the route then is slightly uphill through some flat trail. Upon reaching Gosaikunda Lake, you can explore the beautiful lake. You can then go around the lake and explore the sacred lake. You will be staying overnight at a local lodge.

The day starts after the delicious breakfast. The gradual walk on the narrow path first leads you to Surja Kunda, another wonderful pond. This pond is the source of another river called Suryamati. From there the trail rises to Gosaikunda Pass or the Laurbina La pass, which is the highest point of your adventure.  From the ridge, you will be then descending to Gopte for the night. You will be staying overnight at a local lodge.

After crossing the Lauribina La pass, today you will have an easy walk. The route from here joins the Helambu trek route. With the greater views of Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, and the Manaslu mountain range, you will be first reaching Tharepati. From there you will trek further to Kutumsang for the night. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse.

The easy walk with a combination of uphill and downhill, you will be first reaching Gul Bhanjyang. A wonderful local village, you can take a break at this point.  You will then continue your walk to reach Chisapani overnight. Chisapani is a wonderful local village with good views of the Himalayas.
