The overland journey starts after breakfast. The route heads towards the mid-west zone from Dhading to Gorkha. On the starting day of the trek, from Soti Khola, you walk following the Budigandaki River upstream crossing several farm villages and fields. Then take the uphill climb inside the dense rhododendron and pine forest passing several farm villages to Lungwa Khola. Then the final section uphill takes you inside the valley of happiness- Tsum. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse.

Mu Gompa is the place of old Mu Gompa. This place also offers greater views of the mountains. You will be staying overnight at a local lodge.
This day is dedicated to exploring the local villages and visiting the famous Mu Gompa. Mu Gompa is one of the oldest monasteries in the Himalayas. Rich with ancient antiques, statues, and the finest architecture. Mu Gompa is the oldest and the most important monastery inside Tsum Valley and in the whole Manaslu area. After completing the visit to Mu Gompa, you can then explore the local villages. You will be then staying overnight at a local teahouse.
After spending the best time at Mu Gompa, this day you will be trekking to another famous monastery of Rachen Gompa. The route to Rachen is through different small yet wonderful villages passing the cattle herders. The route also includes a couple of uphill hills and downhill sections to reach Rachen Gompa. In the afternoon, you will be exploring the wonderful Rachen monastery. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse at Rachen.
The final day inside the wonderful Tsum Valley. You will be descending to Chumling village this day. In the morning, go and explore the Rachen Gompa, before making the descent to Chumling. In your free time, you can walk around the local village. You will be staying overnight at a local teahouse.

Then passing a few more beautiful farm villages for Tingding and Chhupyang, you will be reaching Philim. Philim is one of the biggest villages on the route. Into the lower elevation, the route to Tatopani is through the paddy fields via the Budigandaki River. Tatopani is a natural hot spring place. You can take a relaxing hot spring bath at Tatopani. On the final day of your trek. You will be trekking to Soti Khola via Budi Gandaki downstream this day. The route includes the beautiful village of Labubesi and the terraced fields plus some fascinating waterfalls to take you to Soti Khola. You will be spending your night at Soti Khola.
You will be taking a scenic drive back to Kathmandu from Soti Khola on this day. In Kathmandu, you can have a good rest. In your free time, you can do some last-minute shopping.
