Overview

Rolwaling Valley and TashiLaptsa Pass Trek

Rolwaling Valley and Tashi Laptsa Pass is an adventure in the wonderful Rolwaling Valley over the high Himalayan passes to Everest. One of the greatest adventures offers marvelous views of Mount Gaurishankar-MelungTse and the Jugal Himal mountain range. The exciting adventure includes passing the high pass of TashiLaptsa, which is regarded as one of the highest and most challenging Himalayan passes. The pass is the point between the Rolwaling Valley and the Everest region. Elevating at 5755 meters, TashiLaptsa Pass needed some technical climbing skills and the ropes to be set to cross.

The widely popular myth of Yeti's story is associated with the Rolwaling Valley. Believe that the Rolwaling Valley is the home of the mountain man Yeti. There are so many stories of Yeti in the valley well spread around the globe. The myth gained more popularity once the British photographer Eric Shrimpton claimed a photograph of a Yeti footprint in 1956 on the slopes of Mount Gauri Shankar area are several myths and claims that are not proof to this date.

Winter is not very good for this trip because of the exploration of the vibrant Sherpa villages. The unique cultures and the living styles of the Sherpa people, the excellent views of the mountains, and the diverse landscapes are the best part of the trip. Thame village has 550-year-old Buddhist monasteries to explore.

Namche Bazar is the Sherpa Capital and is one of the places to remember during the trip. Likewise, taking a scenic flight back from Lukla airport to Kathmandu is the next pick of the adventure.

Rolwaling Valley and TashiLaptsa Pass Trek is also a seasonal adventure. The best time for Rolwaling Tashi Laptsa to pass trekking is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). For the Rolwaling trek, the winter season (December to February) and monsoon season (June to August) are not the best times.
