Overview

Tilicho Lake with Annapurna Circuit Trek

Tilicho Lake with Annapurna Circuit Trek is an adventure inside the exciting Annapurna region. The Annapurna circuit trek includes visiting the highest lake in the world Tilicho (4,949m). The route also offers to explore the greater landscapes and collect excellent views of the Himalayas.  Annapurna region trekking is always popular all around the world.

Walk from the lower altitude farm hill, the trek gradually rises to the high Himalayan pass of Thorang La (5416m.). The cool green forest of rhododendrons, pines, and magnolias and the vibrant villages of the route are superb. Additionally, the exploration of Muktinath Temple adds excitement to the trekking.  The locals living along the route are Gurung, Magar, and Thakali tribes. Most of the people on the route practice Buddhism.

Like other trekking in Annapurna, Tilicho Lake Annapurna Circuit Trek is a tea house type trekking. There are well-built local lodges on the route with good facilities for food and accommodation. Two permits are needed to do this trip. The first permit needed for the trek is the Annapurna Conservation Area Project permit (ACAP) and the next is the Trekkers information management system card (TIMS).

The best months to trek to Tilicho Lake are the months of spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Whereas trekking in December is also appropriate. But taking this trip during the months of monsoon (June to July) is not ideal due to the heavy rainfall.
