Paldor Peak Climbing

Paldor Peak Climbing is a fantastic adventure around the Ganesh Himal mountain range.  The trip in the off-the-beaten route, the Paldo trek is a less crowded area for the trekkers. The exciting journey offers to explore the natural and cultural wonders of the remote areas of the Ganesh Himal and Langtang trekking route. Most importantly the trip offers marvelous views of mountains including Mt. Ganesh Himal (7,422m.) Ganesh I, Ganesh Langtang Lirung(7,246 m)Lenpo Gang (7,083m) Dorje Lakpa(6,990 m), and Mount Shisapangma(8,027m) as well. Likewise, the nice views of Mount Annapurna (8,091 m)and Mount Manaslu (8,163 m) can be collected as well. 
One of the technical peaks to climb in the Ganesh Himal range, Paldor peak climbing is a great challenge and a wonderful achievement to complete adventure. More than peak climbing, the trip to Paldor also allows one to explore the cultural wonders of the area. The vibrant local villages en route with unique cultures and traditions are exciting. The trip also allows us to collect the wonderful views of the waterfalls and to collect the fantastic landscape views. The walk inside the cool and dense forest of rhododendrons is amazing where the occasional encounters of wildlife are expected whereas, the citing of different kinds of birds is guaranteed.  
Like many trekking and peak climbing in Nepal, Paldor Peak Climbing is also a seasonal adventure. The best time to climb to Paldor is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). However, a trip to Paldor in the months of winter (December to February) and monsoon (June to August) is not recommended. 

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu( 1,350 m / 4,430 ft) and transfer to Hotel.

Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, our representative will welcome you. You will be then transferred to the hotel. Later, you can rest well or walk around the local market in your free time. 

Day 2 : Kathmandu valley sightseeing and preparation.

The full-day Kathmandu Valley sightseeing is dedicated to exploring four of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites of Kathmandu. The sites that are covered are Pashupatinath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Temple, and Patan Durbar Square. During the sightseeing, you will get insights into the historical, cultural, and religious aspects of the valley. Later, you can prepare for the trekking. 

Day 3 : Drive to Syabrubesi(1,470 m) via Trisuli(6/7 hours’ drive).

The starting day of the wonderful Langtang Valley trek. Today you will be driving to Syabrubesi via Trishuli Bazar and Dhunche. The drive is through the green hills and local villages via the Trishuli river bank. Whereas, occasional mountain views are expected on the clear days. You will be spending your night at a local hotel in Syabrubesi.

Day 4 : Trek to Gatlang (2,438 m/5/6 hours trek).

The wonderful journey to Paldor Peak officially begins. Following the steep climb, you will be getting to Goljung village. From the Goljung you will be continuing the walk towards Gatlang village. Gatlang is a beautiful Tamang village with farmlands. You can walk around the local village in your free time. You will be staying overnight at a local lodge. 

Day 5 : Trek to Somdang (3200 m/10498ft./5/6 hours’ trek).

The journey resumes after breakfast, as you follow the dense rhododendron and the pine forest to Somdang. You can collect the best views of Paldor and Ganesh Himal along the way. Upon arriving at Somdang you can walk around the beautiful village of Somdang. It is a nice village inhabited by the Tamang people. Tamang people have their own cultures, traditions, customs, and language. Enjoy exploring the beautiful village. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp.

Day 6 : Trek to Paldor Base Camp (4,500m/5/6 hours trek).

After spending a wonderful time at Somdang, you will be trekking towards the Paldor Base Camp on this day. Following the forest and then to an uphill route, you will climb to a river gorge. Then following the rocky section, you will reach the glaciers of Paldor Peak. Upon arriving at Paldor Base Camp, your guide and porter will be setting up the camp in a suitable place. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp. 

Day 7 : At Base Camp for local hike and exploration.

The rest day is dedicated to acclimatization. You can collect the wonderful views of the Manaslu and Annapurna mountain ranges. Likewise, the Fish Tail Mountain and Ganesh Himal views can be collected from the base camp. Whereas, the Langtang and Jugal Himal ranges can be seen as well. The best views of the mountains.

Day 8 : Climb to High Camp (5,150m/16896ft./4/5 hours trek).

Further from the base camp, this day, you will be trekking towards the Paldor high camp. Crossing the steep rocky route through the moraine path, you will get to the high camp. Upon arriving at the high camp, you will be setting up the camp for the night. In your free time, you can take a good rest and enjoy the stunning views of the mountains. 

Day 9 : Climb Paldor peak (5896m./19343ft./8/9 hours) and retrace back to the base camp.

Here comes the big day, you will start in the early morning. Following the Paldor glacier route, you will be climbing through a steep snow slope to get to the col. Further from there, the climb is through the rocky and icy part full of technical areas. Then further pushing from there you will be getting to the summit of Paldor Peak. Upon arriving at the top you can enjoy the best views of the mountains. After that, you will be retracing back to the base camp for the night. 

Day 10 : Contingency day in case of unfavorable bad weather condition.

The reserve day is for the unfavorable weather conditions. If everything goes right then you will not need the extra day. 

Day 11 : Trek to Pansing Bhanjyang Phedi(3,822m/12539ft./6/7 hours trek).

After the wonderful last day in Paldor, you will start the way back from today. The journey to PansingBhanjyangphedi is through a forest and via a river. Upon arriving at PansingBhanjyang, your guide and porter will be setting a camp for the night. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp.

Day 12 : Trek to Rupchet(4,000m/13123ft./6/7 hours trek).

Following the downhill route, you will be trekking to Rupchet today. You can collect the amazing views of peaks along the way to Rupchet village.  Upon arriving at Rupchet, you can walk around the village to explore.

Day 13 : Trek to Saline (2,500 m/8202ft./5/6 hours trek).

Following the forest of rhododendron forest via Salankhu Khola. You are back in the people's settlement now. Upon arriving at Saline, you will have to set the camp first. Then after you can go around and explore the village. You will be staying overnight at a tented camp. 

Day 14 : Trek to Deurali(1,500m/4921ft./5/6 hours trek).

Following the farmland and through the cool and dense forest, you will be trekking to Deurali today. The route to Deurali is easy with the combination of the uphill and the downhill. Deurali is a small village with good views of landscapes.  You will be staying overnight at a tented camp. 

Day 15 : Trek to Trishuli Bazaar (2 hours trek) and drive back to Kathmandu (3 hours’ drive).

On the final day of the trek, from Deurali with two hours of walking, you will be getting back to Trishuli Bazaar. Then you will be catching the vehicle back to Kathmandu from there. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel. 

Day 16 : Final departure .

After an amazing trip to Nepal, you will be transferred to Kathmandu airport to catch your return flight home. Our representative will be helping you to transfer to the airport, with the hope of seeing you again in Nepal.  “FERI BHETAULA”.
