Dhampus Sarangkot Hike

The Dhampus Sarankot Hike is a short and Sweet trek in Nepal. It is very near to Pokhara. As you know Pokhara is a Naturally beautiful city or lake city in Nepal. From the Dhampus Sarangkot trek, you can see an unobstructed view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu. You will see the beautiful green hills, terraces of rice, and the valley view. The trekking to Dhampus village is one of the paradises of Nepal, it begins from Phedi and is nearly Half an hour's drive from lakeside Pokhara.
Dhampus Sarangkot Trek starts with beautiful views of golden rice terraces and the vast expanse of the Annapurna Mountain range. Almost two hours climb to Dhampus continuous through magnificent Rhododendron forest nesting various species of birds to the village of Pothana, inhabited by the warm-hearted and hospitable Gurung people. 
After spending the night there, then walk through the Australian camp with a beautiful forest of Rhododendron and oak. The path leads to very popular places called Kade and Naudada, between these two places, there will be a Highway road to leads to Beni and Baglung up to Jomsom. In this way, you can see the local people's lifestyle and their culture. After another 3-hour walk, you will reach Sarangkot.
Sarangkot hike lies at an altitude of 1600m. These are mountain sites north of Pokhara overlooking the Valley and Fewa Lake. Just a scenic hike through small villages and jungles from the main tourist area of Pokhara. At this place you can take a drive if you are feeling too tired to walk, normally, people who have short time do only tours, those people drive early morning from Pokhara and go for a sunrise view. From the Sarankot hike, you can see an unobstructed view of the Himalayan Mountains of Annapurna Range, Dhaulagiri Range, Fishtail, and also beautiful green hills and terraces of agricultural fields. 

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu 1370m/4493ft and Transfer to The hotel

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, one of our members from A One Treks will meet you and take you to the hotel that you recommend or we booked. After being refreshment we have gone a give you a short description about your tour to Nepal. 

Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing and drive to Nagarkot 2195m/7199 ft.

Today's program is as you planned for the sightseeing program. You will start around 8/9 o’clock in the morning. On this day the tour takes you to famous world heritage sites like Swyambhunath (Monkey temple), Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, and Boudhanath Stupa, after exploring all these beautiful monuments then drive to Nagarkot for sunset and sunrise views of the Himalayas including Mount Everest. Overnight at a hotel in Nagarkot

Day 3 : Drive or Flight to Pokhara 860m/2820 ft.

Today, you will be heading to another very famous and beautiful city Pokhara. This day will be one of the most memorable days because you are already curious to see Pokhara on the drive you will find the natural landscapes along the way. After reaching Pokhara you may feel tired, so take some time to rest and visit around lakeside. Overnight at Pokhara 

Day 4 : Drive to Phedi and hike to Dhampus 1650m

After Having breakfast at Pokhara hotel, then you will be driven to Phedi and start to hike for Dhampus, first one and a half hours will be steeped up with stone steps. it feels difficult but the view is so beautiful and your tiredness goes away while you watch down to the valley. you will enjoy walking and reaching Dhampus having lunch and heading up to the Australian camp. one of the best views of the Himalayas ranges. overnight at the Australian camp

Day 5 : Trek to Sarangkot 1600m

Today's walk is nice and longer than yesterday's, but the path is along the road and local villages, it will be a very nice walk to experience the local tradition, it will take around 6 hours to get to Sarangkot. overnight at Sarangkot, 

Day 6 : Trek Back to Pokhara and tour around pokhara

Firstly, you will see the sunrise view of the Himalayas around Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Fishtail in the morning and eat breakfast. After breakfast walk down to Pokhara it will take around 2 hours to get down. after being refreshed, then start your tour around Pokhara like Davd's waterfall, Gupteshwor cave, Seti river water gorge, Bindhybasini temple, and Talbarahi temple. overnight at Pokhara Bed and Breakfast is included.

Day 7 : Drive or flight back to Kathmandu

Today after breakfast, you will return to Kathmandu as your schedule is either flight or drive, the drive takes around 5 hours and the flight takes 18 minutes. On arrival in Kathmandu check in to the hotel and later in the evening, you can take a walk around Thamel. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu

Day 8 : Departure to the Tribhuvan International Airport

Dhampus Sarankot Trek comes to an end today. It depends upon your flight time we will drop you at the Airport and say bye-bye for this time for your next destination or back home.  Adventure A One Treks accepts you to return to Nepal again. We hope you enjoyed yourself with our team.
